Experience

I have been tutoring online for the past several years, and have found that helping people achieve goals that they did not think could be accomplished is extremely rewarding for me. I have been commended for my work with students and my ability to be patient during the learning process, as well as being able to work with people who may require more help than others. I also try to be helpful and assist in motivating my students whenever possible. I am also able to help teach a topic on short notice.I understand that nobody is perfect, and that everyone is going to struggle at certain times with certain topics, including myself. With that said, I think it's important to allow each student an opportunity to work through their challenges before I try to help, as confidence is often bred from figuring things out on your own. I earned my bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University at Raleigh. I have been proficient in mathematics since high school, having advanced to the 2004 North Carolina Comprehensive Math state final, placing 64th while competing against students who were well ahead of me in math classes. Besides tutoring, I am hoping to become an actuary, and have a minor in French. I worked in a Disney College Program in 2011, and earned a credential which allowed me to work with guests who spoke French.
